Mr. Roeder obtained a B.A. in political science with special honors from the University of Chicago in 1980. He also received from the University of Chicago an M.A. in social sciences in 1980. Mr. Roeder received his J.D. in 1984 from the University of Illinois, where he was an editor of its Law Review and received its Rickert Award for Excellence in Legal Writing. Since 2005, Mr. Roeder has taught trial advocacy as an adjunct professor at Northwestern University School of Law.
Mr. Roeder was admitted to the Illinois bar in 1984 and also has been admitted to the following federal trial and appellate courts:
